Titanium-Stainless steel clad plate

1. ASME SA240 316L + ASME SB265 Grade 2/Grade 12 Clad Steel Plate
2. ASME SA240 410S + ASME SB265 Grade 2/Grade 12 Clad Steel Plate
3. ASME SA240 304L + ASME Sb265 Grade 2/Grade 12 Clad Steel Plate

The clad plate is produced by bonding two or more metals together into a single steel sheet or plate. Titanium-Stainless steel clad plate combined the titanium and stainless steel material through the explosion and rolling process. The titanium and titanium alloy cladding make the metal plate more corrosion resistant, abrasive resistance and high temperature and pressure resistance. The explosion cladding process is commonly used for flat plates.

Description

Standard: ASTM B898, JIS G 3603, GB8547
Clad material : ASTM A265 Gr1, Gr2, Gr3, Gr7, Gr12
Base material: 304L, 316L, 410S, etc.
Size: 1.5~12+2~120mm, Length≤6000mm
Surface: Polished (ground) surface and blasted surface are standard for cladding metal and base metal, respectively.

Global dimensions of cladding sheets

The cladding global dimensions are typically limited only by the availability of flat component metal sheets or plates and transport constraints. Maximum plate size may also be limited by explosive detonation limits, such as noise and environmental constraints. Rarely is size limited by cladding know-how. The following maximum plate sizes can typically be produced:

Length 12000 mm
Width 5000 mm
Base thickness 500 mm
Cladding thickness 25 mm
Surface 35 m²

Applications

Titanium-Stainless steel-clad plates are ideal when high strength and corrosion resistance are needed simultaneously, such as pressure vessels, paper-making plant chemical tankers, desalination plants and so on. Typical applications include petrochemical, chemical, food, fertilizer, wet metallurgy, vacuum salting making, and electroplating.

The clad plate is incredibly difficult to punch, drill or machine, but it can be cut and formed, including plasma cutting, drawing, bending and hot forming like normal steel plates.

As a standard and custom titanium clad plates manufacturer, LKALLOY mainly supplies stainless steel, titanium, aluminium, copper and nickel clad plates for a wide of industrial fields.
