Alloy 20 (UNS N08020) is a high-nickel deformable austenitic stainless steel with high corrosion resistance to H2SO4 and HNO3 and their mixed acids. Alloy 20 offers excellent corrosion resistance and has been widely used in the chemical processing industry. Alloy 20 is an austenitic nickel-iron-chromium-based alloy with additions of copper and molybdenum. Its nickel content aids in its chloride ion stress and corrosion resistance. The addition of copper and molybdenum provides resistance to hostile environments, pitting, and crevice corrosion.
